Jade Aya was born to Vietnamese refugees, and grew up in rural Norway amidst the clash of cultures, the sting of racism and abuse. Drawing from her own experiences, she navigates the complexities of identity and belonging, and channels the struggles of her past into a unique path of resilience and strength.

With soulful melodies and lyrics that lay bare her vulnerabilities, she transcends borders and speaks to the universal human experience.

Jade Aya’s music is defiance against prejudice, a celebration of cultural richness, and it is a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.
